April 23, 2022  10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

A 1 day event 4/23/2022, on the A1A section of the St Johns River-to-Sea Loop  at the Hammock Coastal area of Palm Coast. The goals are to bring people together to enjoy and use the path, learn of path safety, ecological matters, and enhance community involvement in the trail. 

Registration is not required but if you register you will receive a newsletter with up to date information about Trails Day schedule and activities and where some Friends of the Loop are gathering.   It will also register you for the occasional "In the Loop" newsletter.

   Helmets are required on the trail.  Bring your own water bottle.  

Ride with the Mayor departing Varn Park at 11:00 

Join in at any point, at any time and be part of the Fun.

Bike Parade judging will be at 12:00 at the Trails Day Central location.

Did you know this section of A1A recently joined the prestigious list of All-American Road? Meaning it's one of the few to be honored as America's most scenic byways. This is your chance to explore and celebrated it up close and personal. 

Other activities in the area may include same day events from others such as Marineland Dolphin Discovery, Washington Oaks State Park, and several local and pedestrian related nonprofits.

In the Parks and along the way there will be educational tables set up where you can engage in learning Path and Safety info, ecological info, collect goodies. Please patronize the local restaurants and food trucks.

Trails Day on A1A in Flagler County - April 23, 2022  10AM to 2PM

Location:  Marineland-Flagler Beach section of the St Johns River-to-Sea Loop multiuse paved trail between River to Sea Preserve and Varn Park in Flagler County with a trail celebration at the Flagler Technical College parking lot in The Hammock , Flagler County, FL.

Presented by:  St Johns River-to-Sea Loop Alliance, a 501(c)3 charitable organization with the mission to advance, advocate, support, promote and protect the Loop and regional trails, and to increase active mobility.  April 23rd is National Trails Day - we are celebrating on the St Johns River-to-Sea Loop trail along A1A in Flagler County. This section of the River-to-Sea Loop also forms part of the East Coast Greenway Trail, and situated alongside the Scenic A1A All American Road.

Riders, walkers and joggers, rollers, may begin at MarineLand, Varn Park or any place between to converge at the Flagler Technical College Building (FTC) , A1A Center at 5633 North Oceanshore Blvd., Palm Coast, FL 32137. This is an informational event only.

There will be Earth Day and Trail related, exhibits, giveaways, and information kiosks at the parks and at the FTC Center.

Palm Coast Mayor, David Alfin, departs Varn Park at 11:00 AM and arrives around 12 at the FTC.

Judging of the bike parade begins at the FTC Center at 12:00. Some Decor will be available at each park, and prizes will be awarded. Helmets are strongly encouraged for cyclists and skaters and participants are advised to bring their own water bottles. 

Participates are encouraged to visit the food and beverage establishments along the way or bring a picnic. See itemized map on the website for parking, restrooms, food establishments, and other points of interest.

10 am  to 2 pm Trail day on A1A on the River-to- Sea Loop  trail everywhere between “Trail Day North” at Marineland to “Trail Day South” at Varn Park in Flagler Beach
10 am  to 12 pm Bike Parade and Scanvger Hunt on the Loop everywhere between Marineland to Varn Park
11:00 AM Ride with Mayor Begins on the Loop at Varn Park
12:00 PM Ride with Mayor arrives Flagler Tech College (FTC)
12:00 PM Bike Parade Contest Judging on the Loop at “Trail Day Central” Flagler Tech College (FTC) Awesome Prizes!
