Gobblers Lodge Ribbon Cutting, Ride and Trail Celebration

The long-awaited Gobblers Lodge to Guise Road section is finally complete connecting DeBary to Titusville and Edgewater.

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held on Friday May 20 at  10:00 AM at Gobblers Lodge Trailhead with FDOT dignitaries from Tallahassee as well as district 5.

Riders enjoyed a leisurely 5 mile ride riding west on the new trail segment to Guise Road and then south on Guise Road all the way to the end where we arranged a picnic in the forest at the beautiful secluded picnic site on the St Johns River. Tim Baylie and Pat Northey joined us for the picnic and spoke to trail users about the past and future of Volusia’s world-class trail system.

The St Johns River-to-Sea Loop multiuse trial now extends 59 miles of completed trail all the way from DeBary to Titusville on the south east branch and Edgewater on the northeast branch.
