About the St Johns River-to-Sea Loop Multiuse Paved Trail

The St Johns River-to-Sea Loop is one of two top-priority Florida SUN Trails (Shared-Use Non-motorized paved trails).  The 260-mile Loop is about 50% complete as of spring 2021.

New sections are constantly being designed and constructed, but this process takes time.  In this map we’ve colored the incomplete sections brown since the multi-color coding, though useful for trail builders, is not of interest to cyclists.  The two-color maps make the website more useful for those who want to know where the trail can be used now. We are also adding “Ride With GPS” maps with suggestions in some sections.

The St Johns River-to-Sea Loop is made up of many sections. Some sections have existed for a long time and conitnue to be known by their traditional names. Traditional names like the Spring to Spring Trail are more recognizable than the new long distance SUNtrail name. Some are new sections that connect older trails.
